WMP doesn't look as nice as Zune software, so why not make it the new WMP?
I just started using it and I think it's years ahead of WMP.

They both look practically the same, but the Zune one has some UI tweaks...
-
wmp does what i need it to do , which is play my mp3`s so i dont need anything else

Right click on any song in your music directory... select "open with" and "always open with" (something like that) and select Zune software......
-
skins to pretty up WMP are available for the price of a google search. i.e.: free

WMP12 and the Zune player look nothing alike >_>
That said, the Zune player doesn't have all the features WMP does, its missing a number of smaller hidden features. -

Well, eh, I guess it depends on how you have your music organized. If you have everything in folders with messed up info tags then WMP is best. If your music is properly tagged then Zune is my preference.

Zune software is very similar to windows media center in windows 7. I think Zune software is geared more towards media purposes whereas windows media player is simply a player to open files, not to enjoy the contents.

Why doesn't Microsoft make zune default media player?
