    Why hasn't Vista SP1 shown up in Windows Update?

    Anyone have any ideas? I have all the required drivers for my laptop installed and up to date.

    Because of the incompatibility between _Vista SP1 and a retail software package of MS with the acronym DRMS, MS won't be putting SP1 onto automatic update until they get a patch in for the incompatibility.

    and when i try download i get 8 kbps speed as if MS is discouraging me to download.


    Soooooooo unfortunate....i uninstalled my Vista SP1 RC & now i am stuck with Vista Beta (the real vista).

    Maybe i ll try torrents or ask some1

    did you use automatic update or did you search for updates manually with windows update?

    No worries..

    last nite i downloaed the .exe of SP1 ...got 375 kilobytes/sec as the speed.

    Now i am Happy :D
