Whenever someone sends me a powerpoint it takes me forever to open it.
Also, when I attach a ppt to an email, the email takes a number of minutes to actually go out (through outlook) or Outlook freezes entirely.

Im using Office 2007; any ideas?

    Try optimizing your powerpoint.
    - use the image rescaling feature which down scale the pictures inside the powerpoint to cut down storage requirement.
    - use common fonts
    - properly encode the videos
    - remove unnecessary contents

Also, consider packing your powerpoint with the included powerpoint package tool in ppt 2007.
