Say I want to install some software, and it requires root privileges. Why the hell do I need to log out and log in as admin and then run the installation ? Why cant I just give the root password for that particular program to install as in Linux

I think a bunch of people stay logged in as admin because otherwise they would have to log out and log back in as admin to install programs.

This is a retarded architecture, is there some deeper reason as to why a person cannot give root priveleges to certain programs as in linux ?
