Have you tried changing the broadcast channel on your router? you may have to do this by trial and error to find a stable channel.
Has anything changed AFA possible interference sources ?
including microwave ovens, cordless phones, Bluetooth enabled devices, FHSS wireless LANs, and neighboring wireless LANs. The most damaging of these are 2.4 GHz cordless phones that people use extensively in homes and businesses. If one of these phones is in use within the same room as a 2.4GHz (802.11b or 802.11g) wireless LAN, then expect poor wireless LAN performance when the phones are in operation.

What drivers are you using and are they up-to-date? Also what kinda router are you using so other can see what settings are need or should be to diagnosis the problem. The cutting out could be wifi card or router related. So we need the info on the router to see what else is going on. Did you make sure the wire and card is firm in the slot it resides in?

Have you tried going physically closer to your router? The signal strengths of the network seem quite weak. It might work, at least for me on the 7260-AC, it works for networks with weaker signal strength

OK I'm noticing that it only happens at certain times of day, for instance, right now it's fine - hasn't cut out once for an entire hour. But at certain times of day it will cut out and then once it happens the first time, it will never stop until the next day. Cut outs happen much, much more often in the evening. My router is the Virgin Media Super Hub. I should note that I am in a shared rented house, so the internet is under control of landlady and I have no power over which ISP we have. Channel is already at the optimal, which is Channel 1. That is the channel with strongest signal. I set it manually when I moved in to the house (about 5 weeks ago).

EDIT: as if on cue, as soon as it turned 4pm, it cut out. If it goes like all the other times it will continually cut out every few mins for the next 6 hours :(

Only 2 things come to mind. Environmental or proximity.

If it only happens to you, and not other users in the home, then it's not proximity, not environmental...i.e. yur Killer Wireless card is drunk.

If it happens only to you during that time, but to other users in the home at different times, then it can be proximity...i.e., your Virgin Mobile router is drunk.

If it happens to all users including yourself at the same time everyday, then it's environmental...i.e., Virgin Media ISP is drunk.

-72dBm isn't exactly a strong signal, it's not crap, but definitely not what you want usually.

One thought, if you are in a shared environment be sure the router can DHCP enough devices simultaneously. If say there are 10 of you there using the net but it is only set to allow 7 devices then it would have to disconnect some devices to let others to connect. This could happen too if there are to many hard wire IP's reserved.
