This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Anybody know what these newest vista updates are for? What do they improve on, etc???

    Whatever they are, they are showing notice, at least on my system. My current memory usage (Firefox, WMP11) is under 600MB...this is highly unusual...usually its above 700MB, at idle...

    I believe that when you go to the Windows Update History (Control Panel -> Windows Update->View Update History), it tells you all the Windows Knowledge Base numbers of the updates (KB933921, for example). Search this number on Google (including the KB), and you'll find the Microsoft Knowledge Base page that tells you about the update.

    Note that I have Control Panel under the Classic View, the path to the Update History page may be different under the other view.
