I downloaded the latest Vista update and the new Dreamscenes and now my Broadcom wi-fi is working intermittently. I attempted to unistall the updates but it still happens. Load/reloading the drivers gives me the same problem and am debating to reformat the whole drive. I have Vista Ultimate x64. Any suggestions? Even system restore doesn't help

Then it is most likely NOT Vista and the timing was a coincidence. If you did a system resotore to a point prior to the updates, then they are gone.

I'd turn my attention to the router first before I resorted to a re-format.
