Will Office, Photoshop and so on not work anymore if I upgrade to Vista when they send it out? Will I be able to set programs to run in XP compatability mode and most things still work or will we all have to get new software? Cause if thats the case, I'll let me Vista upgrade DVD gather dust before I use it.

I seriously doubt that those programs will cease to work with a new OS. Some programs might have compatability issues, but not the more mainstream ones such as office and PS. I'm sure some other forum members will be able to give you more information--quite a few people have Vista RTM installed and running.
I'm with you though--I'm going to wait until the first service pack comes out before using Vista seriously. I will play around with it earlier, but it usually takes a few weeks/months for a product to have the major wrinkles ironed out of it. -
office works
Adobe suite work (i don't know Acrobat because i don't use it) -
Photoshop works so does Office without changing the compatibility mode to XP.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know of a site or posting with a list of software and any issues as it concerns Vista?

There's the Upgrade Advisor tool. I know when I ran it it told me I would have some compatability issues w/ Nero 6.
Will I not be able to use Office 2003 etc. if upgrade to Vista?
