    Will Vista affect some games?

    i have a question i have a laptop acer aspire 4920G and its running on windows VIsta , i was trying to play the new game called Assasin Creed , but its having some lagging problem, is it because of i am using vista?
    IF yes i tried XP but my lap top manufacturer does not have any drivers for XP. can any 1 help me?
    I am using Aspire 4920G, but i was not able to find any driver soft ware for my laptop when i
    changed the Original Vista i had to Windows Xp. Can Someone please Help me on this matter? I need to
    get Drivers such as ATI RADEON HD 2400 XT, my soundcard driver, WEbcam , WIreless internet, Core
    2 Duo Processor T7300, and other drivers for my laptop
    . PLease Help me.

    turn the settings down.

    vista has been around long enough for it to handle all of the newer games just as well as xp can. Your laggyness has nothing to do with your operating system. Two things you can try are lowering the settings (as previously stated) or getting a new driver for your video card.

    You could also be on power saving mode. Make sure you are on high performance.

    Got nothing to do with the HD2400XT. Concurring with lowering the settings, and set up a gamer profile not to use uneeded processes.

    That just means that your graphics card isn't strong enough to handle Assassin's Creed

    Unfortunately, your problem has less to do with Vista than it has to do with your video card. The main problem with it, is that it's old. :eek: :D The only thing you can do is to buy a new laptop because you can't upgrade it on most models.
