    Hi guys,
    Quick question:

I have a dell computer with windows media center OS. I recently bought an HP computer and installed XP MCE using the Windows XP media center disk that shipped with my Dell computer.
I have 30 days to validate WIndows. For my Dell, I plan to put Linux on it as the OS and take off the XP Media Center OS that was installed on it.
Does anyone know if I can validate XP MCE which is now on my HP computer?
If it does not validate, will I still be able to use windows or will it shut me out?
    thanks!

That is illegal to do...OEM licenses cannot be transfered, and I'm sure MS would realize you're using a Dell key on an HP machine as R4000 said.
