    Will doing a dell system restore undo windows 7 upgrade?

    I have recently upgraded my laptop to windows 7 from vista and now i want to restore it back to it's original programs for sale but if i do a system restore(Dell factory image restore) will it reset it back to vista?

    Yes, AFAIK. Unless you magically made the system restore 7? Which, I'm sorry, but I doubt it.

    That's pretty much it.

    Unless your Win7 disc was a "restore disc" which could write a Win7 recovery partition. If its a regular Win7 upgrade disc - then the recovery partition would send you back to Vista.
    (My Sony's Vista Discs can do this for Vista)

    Detlev and Joel are correct. You'll have to re upgrade to Windows 7 after you perform the factory restore.
