Okay, first , i have an envy 14 that came pre-installed with home premium. I used my MSDN subscription to install windows 7 professional on it with the key provided(only one). Now i am getting an ssd and i am wondering, If i replace the HDD with the ssd, will i be able to use my MSDN to install windows again with that same product key. I want a completely fresh install so that the drive is aligned.

You should be able to, if you run into any problems you can just call up Microsoft and they can activate it for you. However, I'm not entirely sure how MSDN works.

Yes you can reinstall Windows. MSDN subscription gives you 10 keys that you can use simultaneously. You can call in and they will deactivate a previous activation and allow you to reuse a key.
