I'm about to buy this ASUS F50SV-X1 from NewEgg:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220520

I just want to make sure that I'll get the Windows 7 upgrade in October for free. I see nothing on NewEgg about it, and I checked Asus's website, and it looks like the model is listed 4th down on the left column, although with dividers and lack of spaces I can't be sure:

    http://event.asus.com/2009/windows7/#2

So, does this mean that if I buy the model from NewEgg, all I have to do is fill out the forms online and I'm set for October? I've never bought a laptop online before so this is all confusing, and Asus hasn't responded to my e-mail Thanks.

Yes, it should be eligible. It might come packaged with a voucher/brochure thing that some other Asus customers have received.
