    Will upgrading from Home Premium to Ultimate delete anything?

    I want to upgrade to Ultimate however I don't want to lose any files or information.

    no...theoretically. Atleast that's what they told vista users to 7 or whatever....we all know that was a crap shoot lol

    If your paranoid make a system image and copy that to an external just to be extra safe.

    I was able to use the "Anytime upgrade" to move up to Professional. Definitely much happier... home premium was gimped as hell.

    As other people have said, it shouldn't.

    Just to be on the safe side I suggest you burn either a CD/DVD of your data or copy everything to an external storage.

    no, upgrades so far took a minute or so, a restart, and are done. i've done quite a few.
