Getting a laptop with an SSD. The OS will be Win 7 and will be properly aligned via the factory image.

If I use the win 7 backup/restore utility to image the entire SSD to an external drive (I assume this will be a sector by sector image including the MBR), will a subsequent restore via the Win 7 Restore CD preserve the correct alignment in the following cases:
    1. Restore to the same SSD?
    2. Restore to a different SSD (same size)?
    3. Restore to a larger SSD?

    Thanks,
    Harvey
