    Hey, i just got my HP MINI 210.It comes with windows 7 starter, i also have HP dv5 1215tx it came with windows vista , and the liscense key for vista was written on back of the laptop
    Where is the liscnese key for windows 7 starter, that came with mini written?

    Why do you want the key , Win 7 Starter only comes pre-installed, unlike the other versions of Win7 that can be bought on dvd.

    I wanted to format it and use linux.But wanted to keep the license key handy for future use.....there must be some way they communicate us the ownership of the the license, I checked under the battery its not there :(

    That key should start with RH98C :) Those preinstalled keys aren't any secret and they don't work in other computers unless they came with Win7.
