This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Win 7 blank screen during restart

    Hi all,

    I am using Lenovo x301.
    I've installed Win 7 RC 7100(32bit and 64bit) and got problem with restarting the system.
    Everytime I restart my computer, the screen goes blank while the computer is still on. It never show the Lenovo logo at all.
    I have to press the power button to shut it down and turn it back on. Everything went fine if I shutdown the computer and turn it back on, instead of restarting it.

    I also installed older version of the graphic card and no luck.
    Only on Win7 having this issue, XP works without any problem.

    System bios has been updated to the latest one.

    Anybody having the same issue like me?
