i was on windows 7 with some of updates, when this telemetry disscus started.
i checked my KB list and probably deleted some updates.( cant recall) but i am sure that there are was not "known telemetry updates".

then i upgraded my lappy to win 8 (with keeping files and programms) (no win 8.1) and custum firewall said that my pc send chunk of data to
    watson.telemetry.something.

i was using win8 dvd with is really old and cant include this telemetry updates
and was using "non express settings"

is it possible that i have some updates from win 7 that surview upgrade procedure?

also today i found this article

Almost impossible. The updates shouldn't install with a wrong version.

How frequently does the watson traffic appear?

    Typo in the link...fixed it...

Or you could, you know, try typing 'win 10 telemetry hosts file edit' into google.

The link seemed to work for me. Maybe your host file blocked it. :vbtongue:
