I have been using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit for about 8 months and have always had automatic upgrade turned on. Except for Explorer 9 I have installed everything sent me. My version of windows does not show it has SP1 Help About says Version 6.1 (Build 7600). Do I need to download SP1 and install it or do I have it already?

Sidenote, even if you don't use IE as your primary browser you should update to IE9. I've heard it updates a few things in Windows Explorer as well.

I wouldn't be worried about it - Let Windows updates setup the SP1 patch for you, it will come eventually with your model. Manual installation is fine but would be too much of ????

Did you check the "available" updates when you have the Update screen on? Sometimes it is hidden in the "optional available update" section, and you must check it to activate

    cheers ...
