The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Win 7 window manager problem

    Hey, I have 7600 build and all the time I use hibernate/sleep function, but today I decided to restart my computer, but when I restarted I couldn't close, minimize or move any windows, changed from aero to basic and got close button grayed out. I just can close windows from taskbar, pressink "Close this window". Also when restarting I got message that system was installing updates, but looked through update history and noticed that it was only definition updates for security essentials. Had this problem few weeks earlier but restart solved it and now it doesn't. Thanks in advance
