I just upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium... I now have a Removable Disk F: that is "ghosted" out in My Computer... I deleted the driver for it and it disappeared, but as soon as I inserted a flash drive and its driver downloaded the ghost F: came back... This never happened in Vista; any ideas?

What kind of flash drive is it? Some u3 thumb drives have a partition that runs software when you insert it to provide functionality, like profiles, mobile apps, etc.
Also, are you sure Windows 7 didn't just auto-detect a built in memory card reader? Like for xD, SD cards, etc.. -

Semi-transparent drive are drives that are not active.. in the sense like a card reader without any memory card inside. This is a new feature in Windows 7. There is an option to show these semi-transparent devices, or keep them hidden until they are active (see Folder Options in the Control Panel)

I figured it out guys... When I upgraded to Windows 7 with a clean install I did not download my Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader driver
