    Win 8.1 - What links these apps/services that are making my screen flicker?

    I've just received my laptop back from repair - its had a new motherboard fitted and now it has a new fault - when I do certain tasks on the laptop the screen flickers off and on until I can manage to close the task down or restart the laptop.

    So far it happens every time with Cyberlink Media / Fresh Paint / IE and Firefox when I view sites like MSN & Yahoo homepages. And it also happens when I go to admin tools> Event viewer. I can watch a DVD no problem.

    I've disabled shockwave. Let windows update whatever it wants and updated the AMD graphics drivers.

    My laptop didnt do this before it went in for repair and I'm expecting them to try and shift the blame onto me in some way - as getting even the first repair and replacement mobo under warranty was a struggle so I dont expect them to willingly fix this new issue now.

    Does anyone know what might be causing this flickering? It might help me in dealing with the repairers next week when it gets sent back to them. Thanks for any help
