    Dear All,

I've recently bought a new notebook and has a Win Vista Ultimate installed on it.
But I found some problem when trying to connect my 3.5" externall HDD to it...

At first, it recognized my HDD occasionally, and I have done a disk scan as i thought it was some bad sector making this happened.

However, it is now 100% unable to recognize my ATA external HDD. Everything is absolutely normal when i connect this HDD to my old laptop, which is running a WinXP SP3, as well as my frds' laptops, winxp too.

I've do so google search and saw some ppl have this problem as well, but none of them hv any clue about what is going on and how to fix it ...

my laptop is Sager NP9262. HDD is Maxtor, ATA 3.5" external USB 2.0
