    Hey all,

Having problems with Outlook Express and IE. When composing/replying/forwarding emails etc. (in both Outlook Express and IE), the font selection bar is grayed out, and the message content dialogue box does not allow any typing to be done to it.

However, received messages or replied messages that are quoted are showed in the dialogue box still.

Outlook express also popped up an ActiveX is disabled error. Since IE/Outlook express is linked(I believe) in a way, I tried to go into the internet options panel and change the security settings. Even logging in as "Administrator" via SafeMode, I did not have administrative rights to change the Internet Options page.

    Any help?

    Thanks.

if neither your account or the admin account will allow you to change things, that implies a system level issue.

system restore would be my first step,,,did you try that?

does the problem repeat in safe mode?
