Hi every one, I need some help here. I just installed XP-pro on my new built machine, and for some reason the audio is not working. I installed the drivers and every thing and no go. I am not sure what I can do to fix the problem or what could be causing it. I think it might be the Win XP cd, since something similar happened to me after I tried installing this copy in my laptop a few month a go and but I never got to find a fix since I ended up using the original recovery disc for my laptop.
Thanks and Happy New Year!!

Did you install MS UAA HD Audio Bus Driver before the audio drivers?
-
No, I did not install that driver. Is that the one I needed to install first?
-
Yea, I believe you have to install that and then the audio driver.
-
Yes, as Arkit3kt said. Install the Microsoft UAA HD audio class driver first then the audio driver from HP.

You can use that link. It is not manufacture specific. -
After downloading and following the directions to install the driver it still doesn't. The installation file don't work as the readme.txt file say it supposed to.
Do you guys have any other suggestions?
Thanks, -
Ok, I got it to work I had to download the driver from another website and use another installation cd. I think the problem was the XP cd that I was using, since I tried with another copy and it worked fine.
Thanks you guys for all the help.
