So my computer finally auto-updated to SP2. Now the firewall and virus prot is turned on. I recently installed Norton firewall and antivirus on my Dell 9100. (it came with Mcaffe but trial was over and I uninstalled it)
My question is, I was understanding that I should NOT have the windows XP firewall on if I have a 3rd party firewall on. Does this still apply and does it apply to the new virus prot of SP2?
There was a specific reason NOT to have it "doubled up" before.

You will want to turn off the XP firewall as the rule still applies, only use one firewall.
