when i boot up my system, it "freezes" for 40 seconds and then the boot up sound appears. Actually, it does not freeze completely. It is curious that only the icons on the desktop work, but if you double click on them and open a new window, the icons in this window won't work (like "my computer" works, but "c:" doesn't). After the system finishes booting up, the sound icon and the norton antivirus appear in the bottom, together with all networks: Wlan, wifi, bluetooth network. i have tried disabling these networks, but nothing occurs. Please help, this is getting annoying!

Sounds like you might have some spyware or something holding things up. Do you run AdAware? If not, grab it from downloads.com, it's free.

I'm running Spybot, and it doesn't detect anything.
