I have just finished installing Windows 7 from Dell and am receiving the above message. "Cannot Start BT Stack Service"
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Win 7?
Thoughts?

do you have a bluetooth adapter in your machine? what does the event viewer and device manager tell you?

I hate this error with a passion. I used to get it all the time on my Studio 15 in Vista and 7. The only thing you can really do is reinstall the BT driver completely.

Yes its a 1340 with built in bluetooth....works but the message comes up every now and then as it appears since I installed the Dell version of Win7Ult64bit.

did you install the dell bluetooth software or do you have the default msft stack running? If both, decide on which one you want, you may be setting up a conflict between drivers wanting to serve the same hardware.

I uninstalled the Dell hardware and am considering my next move....
I would get the darn message every hour or so....
okok....tried something new....uninstalled and downloaded/installed the winVista64 version for the Adamo...seems good so far -
Neg that never worked....Frig!!!
So...tried the Vista 64 version for the 1340.....worked. Its an earlier version than latest Win 7.
