Hello, this is my first post on the forums.
    I just bought a Dell Studio XPS 16 - i7, HD4670, 4GB, RGBLED, 250GB 7200rpm (no ssd thanks to a d... of a salesman)

I am trying to connect my BenQ 24" monitor via HDMI-HDMI cable. The connection works and I can extend my desktop to my external monitor, but in windows the screen size is smaller than the full resolution (it squashes the picture, not edgetoedge). This ofcourse making the pixels not work with the native resolution of my monitor and making everything blurred. Any idea what this could be and how to fix it?

The reason I post this in win7 forums is because this only appears in windows. If I start a fullscreen application, like a game with it's own resolution it will reset and use the full area of the monitor.

I have already checked resolutions, both the laptop and my monitor runs at 1920x1080. The graphics card can handle the resolution. I have the latest drivers for my graphics card and I've tried fiddling with resolutions in the catalyst driver, but I haven't found anything helpful.
