This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Win7 64bit vs 32bit?

    In general I agree with that and I do have 4GB of ram in my computer (Desktop) so I lose out on 0.5GB

    The desktop is exclusively a gaming rig so game performance is of the utmost importance. I find that Windows 7 32bit enables me to play ALL of my games older as well as newer at very fast framerates with no framerate stuttering at all. OTOH I can't achieve that with 64bit at all. Some games play good, others are acceptable and a few are not tolerable. I realize this could be due to Nvidia drivers but when I achieve what i'm looking for, there's no need for me to try and fit a round peg in a square hole.
