    Hey
I wan't to upgrade my current OS: Windows 7 Home Premium to the Windows 7 Ultimate since i was able to buy the Ultimate for only 10€ in an academy licens.

It's worth noting that i'm sitting on a brand new Acer TimelineX 3820tg. I've only been using it for 1 day in school yet.

I got some basic guidelines while buying the product: Going to download the software, load the .iso to an usb drive and start the installation from there.

I've thought of doing a clean install of windows 7 on the machine? Would upgrading do the same for me? Or would i still have the "bloatware"?
    - If this doesn't work as a clean install, should i do it before or after?

Just do a clean install. You will need to get drivers and such for your system but since you already have the option then do it.

When you go from one version of Windows 7 to another higher version of Windows 7 it's call Windows Anytime and Microsoft advertises it takes 10 minutes. The reason is since Vista when you first install windows it installs all version and the product key you enter unlocks the version you paid for.

And in case you want a clean install, create your recovery discs at fist - and don't forget the "applications&drivers" disc since this also contains software that is not available as download from Acer support website.
