So I figured Win7 RC is out and it would nice to get a preview to see what we are going to be using for the next 3 or so years from MS. But I hit a problem... DRIVERS!!! AGH!

the driver I am missing is my wireless driver for my Rosewill RNX-N2X 802.11n network card. According to a poster on newegg it is on rosewill's website... I can't find it there... any ideas where it might be? I tried the most up-to-date vista ones, which allows the network card to display networks but won't connect to mine. interesting to note is that it is labeled as WEP 802.11g, but mine is WPA2... 802.11n.

here is the network card: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166027

    any ideas?

my first impression though is that it's definaly faster. other than that all the time I spent with it is trying to connect to my network.

hoping you guys can help ;) otherwise I'll leave the previewing until it is lauched :(

Windows 7 RC 64 bit installed my Intel 4965 and Nvidia drivers right off the bat. But most drivers like SATA, Chipset drivers are outdated. It's funny to see Windows 7 telling my SATA hard drive as ATA.
So in the notebook driver department (atleast Sony Vaio FZ) Windows 7 does a bad job of updating drivers.

With the exception of one obscure driver, Windows 7 RC, along with Windows Update, found ALL of my hardware and drivers.

My brother can't connect to the internet since the manufacturer doesn't have any wireless network drivers made for win 7. The only way to access the internet is via ethernet.

If you didn't enable AHCI in the bios, your SATA hdd will appear as emulated ATA. It's normal and it's not funny... unless you don't know about the AHCI features. :D

It's all enabled in the BIOS. After I installed the updated SATA dirver, my HD is showing up right. Windows 7 RC installs an ancient driver during the clean install. Usually Windows (any version) doesn't have updated drivers for notebooks.
