    Win7 on computer with 64MB ram gfx card

    Do you think Win7 would run fine on a computer (laptop) which has a 64MB ram graphics card (dedicated)?

    (The laptop is a 2.4GHz P4 machine with 2GB RAM).

    lol i ran it on centrino mobile 1.2 ghz with 1.5 gig ram and 80 gig 5200 rpm HD and 16 mb internal graphics

    it was a dell insiron 6000 :eek:

    Yes it will run quite nicely I believe, a lot better than vista would run on your system. I have had a laptop with a celeron, 512 mb ran and 32 mb graphics card running it nicely

    Impressive. It is the graphics card memory I'm concerned about. Not the CPU power and system RAM.

    Isn't this also a question about which version of DirectX is supported by the gfx card and what Windows 7 dictates as a minimum version?

    Aero runs great on my ATi Radeon x1300 with 64 MB VRAM. I have 3 GB of system memory and a 2.0 GHz Core Duo. (32 Bit).

    What card do you have in mind?

    GeForce4 440 Go 64MB.

    I have now installed W7 on the old Inspiron 8200 laptop. Runs great!
