? I left my laptop at 40% when I hibernated, any fix for this glitch? I will have to uninstall Win7 if this continues, but I don't want to, i love it so much![]()

Hibernate doesn't drain battery on my netbook. You probably used hybrid sleep instead of hibernate.

Yeah, unless your laptop's power supply has a draw problem, I don't see hibernate as the issue.

Maximus - I have been having problems with RC/7100 with my dv4 - and you responded to that post a few days ago; Thanks. Anyways - I boxed up my Dell 1530 on 24 April and mailed it out of Iraq - I put a sticky on the desktop noting that the battery was at 47% when I shut it down (1530 is running Beta 7000 BTW). I finally took it out this morning and booted it - 16 days later. The battery was at 43% after 16 days - not too bad I think. Don't get me wrong - I like HP's - but these dv series battery problems are hardware related. I'm going to dump my dv4Z as soon as I can - and use the money to get a (hopefully) crimson red Dell XPS 13. None of my Dell's have ever had any power problems.

5% drop in 16 days is 100% normal, more than 100% normal but of course that is not possible. I would expect a minimum 2% drop with the battery sitting for 16 days out of the notebook.
I have not tested the battery life in 7 on myne yet though i am triple booting at the moment. Hibernate is the same as the pc being shut down as far as the hardware is concerned so problems there have more todo with your notebook then anything.
Win7 sucks battery even on hibernate! HELP
