Anyone else experiencing freezing in virtual box on win7 64 bit..

It happened to me once during install at 82% ("Scanning mirrors").

It happened again on upgrading to 9.0.4 on ("Getting new packages").

The installation was a ubuntu intrepid 32 bit ISO.

    Anyone..?

so did virtualbox freeze or the ubuntu installation freeze?? I'm betting on the latter cause by network/internet problems.

Try installing Windows 7 32-bit in VirtualBox, seeing your OS is 32-bit.

Try another Linux distro just to see what might happen. I know that I've loaded Unbuntu a few times into VBox without problem. Have you asked over at the virtualbox forums? Lots of smart peeps there.
