After some serious research and hunting around, I am finally going to buy a gaming laptop. So now I am faced with a question of getting a SSD or just a normal HD for the OS. I am ordering it in a few days, and I have not been able to find any good research, facts, videos, or anything solid showing if it was worth it or not. This will be on a quad core and Im not really all that concerned on the cost difference.
Any input? Keep in mind, Im looking for more actual proof, testing, or any form of real world handling and not just opinions.

The performance will be roughly the same in games. It's just that almost everything will feel snappier.

just an idea how much better ssd's are for loading.

Damn that vid about sold me.
-
and don't forget thats 2 hd`s in raid in that vid
a single hd will be a lot slower, so the ssd wins all round -
I love mine, but I feel a fair bit cramped sometimes, and mine's a "larger" one at 120GB. -
SSD and NAS and you are good to go....
-
If you're always able to access a NAS, why even have a notebook?
-
You could always look for a laptop with two bays, both a high perfomance SSD and HDD. That is about as good as it gets...............
