I have a really strange problem.
I recently updated to the newest version of WinAmp 5.2 which was released a couple of days ago. The install went fine with no errors.
The problem is when I start winamp, I get this error: Entry Point Not Found
You think that is strange error... try explaining this. Winamp starts my Active Sync 4.0 . I have my laptop set to not start it in MSCONFIG, but when i run winamp, after I click OK on the error, my ActiveSync is started.
Now, if I leave ActiveSync running, I can restart Winamp with no problem or error at all. Yet if I close ActiveSync and end the process, then try to restart Winamp, I get the error.
It doesn't effect playing or anything else. It is just VERY annoying to have this error and Active Sync start everytime I load WinAMP -- Pro version btw.
Any ideas?

Something happened during install or a virus is all I can think of.
Try reinstalling, which you probably already did. Hrmm.
Any other details? -
I think Winamp searches for ActiveSync for a potential integration (transfer mp3s faster or some other stupid justification). Probably, if you uninstall both programs and then reinstall first Winamp and then Activesync, you have greater chances for success.
One more thing that comes to my mind, disable winamp agent, "register files types at startup" or anything else running in the background for Winamp. -
k, got it fixed. I started remembering that with songs that you buy, there is usually always a DRM file attached on the Play for Sure ones.
Apparently, WinAMP has decided to put plugins for MP3 players including ipod, creative and play for sure. It was the play for sure that was screwing it all up. Just uninstall the plugin and no more error or Active sync starting up.
Thanks for the suggestions. That was about to drive me crazy. -
LOL, awesome, you fixed it. I like your avatar, where'd you get it and who or what is it?
-
I got it from some random avatar website. I think it is suppose to be a fairy or butterfly... something along those lines.

Looks like Nvidia's Dawn and Dusk. You know those 2 characters they created for their videocards.
