In case you didn't already hear...
Critical vulnerability in WinAMP media player
"A critical vulnerability has been identified in WinAMP media player that allows remote exploitation of the computer. This works by using a specially crafted playlist. The playlist can be an embedded link in an email or webpage and, with default settings, will be opened automatically by WinAMP without needing any action from or notification to the user. Although the vulnerability has only been confirmed in version 5.12 it is likely present in other versions as well. This vulnerability is currently being exploited."
and the fix...
WinAMP version 5.13 released
"Version 5.13 of WinAMP corrects the critical vulnerability issue with previous versions. The new version can be downloaded from http://www.winamp.com/. Simply installing version 5.13 will correct the problem. No uninstall or other actions are necessary."
So get some!
