    Hiyas,

So a friend of mine came over, and being mysteriously confused how to use Winamp :)confused :), did stuff with Windows Media Player, which I never use. Now, Winamp makes no sound. It tries to play songs since I can see the little bars all jumping, but no sound's coming out. WMP, on the other hand, is ok. I upgraded to the newest version, I tried a few different options on the DirectSound output thing, but nothing. Moral of the story: don't let anyone touch your stuff, or else. But um, how do I make Winamp work again so I don't have to use the WMP monstrosity? Thanxes!

This is going to sound very basic, but did your friend maybe just mute the volume in Winamp?

My kids have done stuff like this before, and I've spent hours trying to fix it only to realize it was that simple.
