    Hi guy's,

I recently bought a original copy of Windows XP home edition and installed it on my desktop PC.

Now a friend of mine wants me to reformat his hdd and put Windows XP back on it but he doesn't have his own copy of Windows. I was wondering if I will be able to put my home edition on his computer also without it causing any problems?

Basically the question is Windows XP home edition can be installed on 2 PC's?

    Thanks for any input. ;)

XP Home can be installed on 2 computers, but it would violate the EULA. According to the EULA, you are only allowed to install Windows on one machine only, meaning that in order to comply with the EULA, you will have to uninstall Windows from your PC in order to install it on your friend's.

What will happen if you violate the EULA?

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I would just install it on one comp at a time. I didn't think much about my Microsoft Office 2003 Professional on multiple comuters I had until I tried doing a Office Update and M$ banned my product key.
