    Is there a setting some where to when a window opens its auto maximized?

    There's no global setting to open in a maximized state. Usually if you open a window, maximize it, then close it, it will open maximized. You can right click on the object, select Properties, and then in the Shortcut tab you can select "Maximized" in the Run drop-down box.

    Thank You, that works, it was internet explorer that was bugging me, it would open almost "maximized" so when i clicked the X it would close the window behind it

    There's an easier way

    Make a shortcut of IE or of a file...right click on it > properties > shortcut tab

    You should see the option Run: Normal Window, Minimized, Maximized change it to Maximized Click ok and that should do it forever.

    That worked for me.
    Maximizing the window, then going File -> Close. It seems to open in a Maximized window now. :)
