Words simply cannot describe how shocked I am after reading this....

We all know that virus called BAIDU (or PUP if you want to be precise), BAIDU Browser, BAIDU PC Optimizer, and BAIDU Antivirus LOL, an Antivirus from a spyware company.....

now here is the cherry on the topping.....Windows 10 partnering with a spyware company!!

I know this is only for China for now, but man is this disgusting....

Isn't Baidu the Chinese Google? I'd be worried if M$ partnered with the real Google. Dat data mining...

Dunno, all I know is every single computer I get to repair because of extreme slowdown/annoying popups has Baidu PC Faster, Baidu Browser, Baidu Antivirus. It's a PUP and Micro$h4ft partnering with a spyware company is just what we all needed....

FYI, PUP is just an acronym for Potentially Unwanted Program (i.e. the BS stuff that some sites bundle into the installer of free software they host for other to download). Another good example is how Java tries to install an Ask.com toolbar or somesuch other nonsense every time it updates.

Don't forget that Microsoft also is a big spyware company now. One of the worst.

Where do you live and how exactly did your clients get the Baidu stuff?

I've lived in China for years and I don't see those things very often (I didn't even know what PC Faster is before this post). How do people even become aware of them in other countries?

Yep. And just like Google they try all kinds of services, not only search.

In Dubai, these people have seen ads which they accidentally clicked on and as usual clicked next next next and they had all the BAIDU stuff installed. They thought BAIDU is magically gonna make their PC faster and it will fix 1000 problems that it found...(false positives)

...next will be NSA partnering with North Korea lol+++

ref. article in 1st post, slight rewording to reflect reality:
It’s Microsoft’s newly announced partnership with China-Baidu that will help Microsoft spying on 600 million active Baidu Internet users.

Well, compared to MS and Baidu I see fewer problems if NSA goes hand in hand with NPRK gov. What could go wrong for us? :D
