I think I am going to go back to the previous build. This newer build sucks. Performance is down and I'm not liking it. I even tried installing the un-modded cancer version and it's no better. I don't think this crappy outfit is ever going to be able to earn back my respect. They just keep releasing "updated" versions of the same old trash. Not sure why they added extra estrogen to this version. I was hoping for extra testosterone.

I installed this over the top of my existing build, and it's been working fine. I just had to reinstate some of the fixes from O&O Shutup 10, as well as do a couple things with Winaero Tweaker to get my system back to exactly where it was prior to the update. Been working great so far.
-
At any rate, it's already gone now. Any OS change that results in a performance drop, even a small one, will be eliminated. Their added "security" crap doesn't interest me.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Multi-monitor support is broken in this release. If I put my computer to sleep and wake it up, the built-in display will turn on (I keep it off when connected to my external monitor) and either stay blank or revert to a spanned desktop instead of the single one it was when it entered sleep. Also, my external monitor will revert back to 60 Hz from 144.
Apparently Microsoft is aware of these problems and is working on a fix, but still. Annoying as all get out. -
Nice choice of music in the background BTW.

Bloody hell. Tried doing an install using a cleaned update version (links Phoenix provided on 1st page) of Win 10 Home. Stuck in a loop of 1st 3 pages of turning options off, reboot, repeat....

Edit: Nevermind, even v6.4 doesn't work:

A user from MDL replied:
That's another ISO I assume which I haven idea where to get.
forget this I've wasted so much time on it -
I even tried the express mode just to see what happened, and it still went into the loop.
Looks like this might not work for home/proSpartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

What ISO did they use?
I eventually did a standard install using the iso you linked to on the 1st page. I'd thank you for the links, but I've never had such a problematic install. Large chunk of my programs aren't running properly, random files being deleted. Even though it claims to be fully updated, it still had a ~900MB cumulative update.
Almost getting to the point now where I'm ready to give up and switch to Linux. Except I cringe at the thought of learning terminal (used to own an Amiga back in the day and avoided CLI like the plague) -

Nice how the auto updates don't even find the most recent update.
Thanks for the post. I'm currently sitting on 14393.693 and am constantly getting PO'd at all the problems (sfc \scannow found no problems). I'll DL the update you mentioned and hopefully things will get straightened outSpartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Can someone who has this update and their notebook connected to an external monitor or TV check something for me? Have your system output only to the monitor/TV so the built-in display is off. Put your machine to sleep, close the lid, then wake it up again, and let me know what happens. Does the external monitor come back up while the built-in screen powers on and either does nothing (so it's on but the screen is blank) or reverts your setup to a spanned desktop?
Build 726 doesn't fix the issue I'm describing but would like to know if it's just me or if this is more widespread.Last edited: Jan 28, 2017 -

Just gave this a try (to TV via HDMI). When my laptop woke up I only got the external screen, laptop display stayed offSpartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

I even did a clean boot with nothing at startup, and it's still doing the same thing. Short of trying a clean reinstall, or just living with this and keeping my fingers crossed for a fix from Microsoft, I don't know what else to do.

I posted about this issue on the Windows 10 subreddit and have gotten a couple upvotes in a short time, so that leads me to believe that I'm not the only one who's having problems. -
