Windows 10 LTSC & Pro - Debloated with several enhancements

I have installed this Win 10 Pro on 2cend SSD and try to get my Gaming Performance but it is still bad.
The "Standard" Debloated Windows are doing fine with about 60fps in 4K and High settings in GTA V. This Version here are just getting above 30FPS at same settings and doing fixes .... and so on.
So for me it isnt great to use.
My HW Specks are Ryzen 5 2600 with 16GB 3600Mhz and the RX 580 8GB OC Strix all well watered.
So newer isnt always better.

 

This is something I really want to utilize, especially Pro without sacrificing WiFi and a Browser.

Super New here (in over my head) also want to take advantage of Removing Clevo Cancer on X170KM-G, can someone PM and walk me though a few things?

I also want to make sure I’m using the right build so I don’t lose what I’ll end up needing to do the CCC cleanup.

I'm going to read the whole thread in depth the next days,
but just a quick question, is it possible to retrofit that debloating ?

I'm contemplating what's the best way to continue now, if I have to reinstall windoze anyway, I think I'll rather switch to linux completely.
If debloating it possible after install, too, that'd be an interesting option ...

I have downloaded the debloated build 1709 and installed this version on my system. im getting an error installing the nvidia driver. its telling me that the driver is not compatible with this version of windows.

I also cant seem to find the WAU, windows update hide tool and the Wu10man installer.

please advise.

However, I'd like to be able to use RDP as I'd like to use your image in a headless VM that transfers apps via RDP to a Linux machine ( https://github.com/Fmstrat/winapps)

I tried looking in the 'Manage Optional Features', in both the top menu and the additional windows features link at the bottom, and could not find anything related to RDP (besides a management tool for RSAT/Servers), I tried enabling various features and could not get the RDP service to appear, nor the tab in the system properties.

Could you provide an indication of whats needed to add RDP support to this build?

Hey, i just create my account to say thank you for this incredible OS.

I'm using the LTSC Windows, i tried several OS and this is winning so far!
I play competitive CS:GO, i tried a lot of isos looking for a system thay give me the lowest input lag, and i found it here.
Also, in some games like Battlefield V, i got more average fps against the original LTSC version, and a tweaked one, from a venezuelan guy.

I will try the 2004 in my work laptop, i hope it will helps. Awesome job!

Hi, how can i install Media Feature Pack on your windows 10 pro version? Do i need to enable something first? There is problem with browsers not playing mp4s

 

I personally use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and have never ran into any problems like this what so ever. You might want to give that a try.

 

Just use VLC player, no codecs required, handles everything audio and video....and is free.

 

Cooking up Windows 11 pro clean build (21996.1). Will post soon after testing.

Thanks to S.K for the hard work (guessing this has been run through Nlite looking at screenshot 2?) debloating & gutting the various versions! I've got a new Eluktronics gaming laptop on the way so this saves me hours of fun in Nlite doing my own debloat. Will probably go with the gutted version of Win 10 Pro unless there's clear reasons why debloated is better.

Aside from gaming / web browsing / video streaming I'm hopeful Citrix Workspace may still run, for work related reasons.

1) Will it be possible for me to manually reinstall tools like Remote Desktop Connection? It'd be very handy for me as I use it regularly.

I'm currently using Win 10 gutted and loving it, However I can't seem to use the windows back up utility and even a 3rd party back up creation failed. Is this related to the removed windows malware components?

 

I use CloneZilla live USB to create / restore my backups. Works every time. It creates an image of the entire Windows partition which you can store anywhere and can easily restore later down the line. CloneZilla is a stand alone live Linux ISO that you install on any usb thumb drive using rufus or any other bootable usb tool and then boot from it. The rest should be self explanatory.

 

I despise remote desktop and it took me a while to completely get rid of it from the build. If you want it back, there is no point in installing the build. Regarding your second query, use Windows key to open start menu and it will be minimized automatically. Then it will throw you right back into any game that you were playing as soon as you click on the taskbar where it is minimized. Works every time. Alt+Tab is overrated.

 

I’ve downloaded and installed the 2004 gutted version but my Windows hello PIN, fingerprint and Facial recognition do not work. How do I re enable these?

 

If you want to re-enable Microsoft's spyware then that defeats the purpose of installing these builds in the first place. These are old school builds with no added crapware / spyware. Old school login screen where you type your password to get in.

 

I installed this on XPS 13 7390 2-in-1, but is there a way to enable fingerprint logon only? Also auto-rotate does not work, and on-screen touch keyboard setting on the top left does not open (settings for touch keyboard layout), or it shows osk.exe error. Any ways to enable the touch keyboard settings and auto-rotate?

It runs great on another non-touch laptop, except some settings say "Some settings are hidden or managed by your organization". I can fix this but is it supposed to show this?
