Windows 10 desktop, dell xps 15 9550. I previously had the message everyday where it ask me to install important updates. I would everyday click on remind me later. Earlier i think by accident i clicked on not now but later. It then said it would do it 1 hour later i believe. After an hour or so, my computer had the restarting message. I had forgot it was going to do the update. It has been going on with the update and i got the message it will take a while.

Now i heard a sound and then a HI showing on my screen. I can move my arrow with my mouse. It has a Hi word on the screen but its faded.

What am i suppose to do now? Its been like this for 15 minutes at least and it doesn't seem like the screen is doing anything. Do i restart my laptop by pressing the power button and then turn it back on?

this was the message on the screen i got everyday when it ask me to update.

the newest windows updattes feature update is ready to install. WE need you to kick it off. With new features and apps, this one could take a little longer than other updates. REady? REstart now . NOt ready? Pick a time that works for you.

Okay now i cannot move the arrow at all on the screen. Its basically frozen.

What am i suppose to do now? Its been like this for 130 minutes at least and it doesn't seem like the screen is doing anything. Do i restart my laptop by pressing the power button and then turn it back on? The issue is would there be issues when it restarts like everything is there?

These major windows 10 updates, twice a year, is best to do a clean install with the media creation tool. If it doesn't unfreeze to finish the update, get another PC and download the update with the media creation tool onto a bootable USB and do a fresh install. This if all else fails, you can try just turning it off and back on and see if it installed correctly but just froze during the updates and such.

Windows restarts request are there for a reason. You should restart when it ask to restart and now it's this late down the line and problem has resulted the problem your at now. What needs to do is a clean update and install as mentioned and the next time one needs to follow the Windows restart when it does a update.

Best thing to do is reformat your laptop, I think it's the best way to stop this issue. I come up with
the same issue and I started to reformat my laptop and it stops. By the way got my download crack free Windows 10 at go2top. Hope it helps.
