Hey guys so I was trying to figure out how to remove or change the sign-in screen background. I tried it the old fashioned way I was used to but after doing that and ending up with a logon error and even just a black screen after logging off, I removed my changes.
I know that in settings there is a switch to turn off the background image but during my research I found a registry path that you could edit to do this as well, only for me the path does not exist.
The path was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System
I however do not have the System folder in that path.
I am just wanting to verify that this System folder does not exist for others as well. I am a brand new Windows 10 user and want to make sure things are the way they are supposed to be.
My Win 10 build is Windows 10 Pro Version 1151 (OS Build 10586.545)
Again all I'd like is for someone to check their registry path I posted above and let me know if the System folder is in the Windows folder for you are not.
Thanks!
