Hi, just thinking about what can be done and thought about an option I was thinking the early days of release. That is why not just upgrade to the Enterprise edition? back then this was not an option but now it is. I looked on CDW and it was $219.95, There it would cost around $140 to just go pro. While I had never spent $220 on an upgrade before in thinking about it, is it that unreasonable? For the casual user I can see it definitely is, but we here as power users?

I'm not paying anymore money than what I've already paid - zero for my laptop and 20 bucks for the desktop via Windows 7 Pro OEM.

I dunno if they allow you purchase a single license or smaller than 20.

They don't easily activate over the internet unless its a msdn key or part of a signed license agreement.

    Idea for crowdfunding...

Someone (some very reliable someone!) sets up a company, Enterprise Propagation Services Inc, buys 1000 Enterprise licences and provides (resells) them to 'employees' (customers). Charges a (manageable) yearly sum for wages, expenses, activation server.
    :O)

At the Microsoft site they have the open license but for 5 or more systems. It seems you need the device license for 1-4 systems. I am really tempted.

Don't see the point. My main rigs run on Windows 7, which is perfectly fine and will be for the near future, and my tablet has Windows 10 Pro, which is more than enough for it.

This sound very similar to this enterprise...

    Starts ~0:29.
"The latest in arse intruding..." well you get the idea... Sure sounds like Windows 10 to me!

Get enough Enterprise licenses for the whole gang, you'll need to gather them together to recite the daily Windows 10 Enterprise start up sequence.
And, don't forget to stock up on "holy planks"- You're Welcome!!

I am somewhat shocked. I remember a few voices saying they would be willing to pay for a proper Windows OS rather than the free junk that was being given out. I would think the Enterprise version is about, even as bad as it is, as good as Windows 10 will get.
