I have a new Asus Strix (specs in sig) and a fresh install of Windows 11 (not upgrade). Putting the laptop to sleep causes around a 7% battery drain per hour. This means overnight it's usually dead by morning.
I checked the settings battery usage history and it shows nothing for the time it's asleep.
Does anyone else have this issue? I'm curious how to debug it further.

I don't even remember the battery drain in suspend mode being more than ~10% for extended periods of time. 7%/HR seems a bit greedy rather than green.etern4l likes this. -
On xp\7\8.1 laptops, battery lasted a very decent long time in sleep. On my w10 (Dell Precision) battery evaporates. Looked into for a while wo finding any remedy.
Using sleep, needed to add some 'hibernate after' to avoid often going flat. Now accepted that using hibernate is mandatory, with modern fast hardware no wake-up speed loss to speak of compared to sleep. -
