Like the title says, Win7 32bit wont install, but 64bit will. I have tried to download several copies of the 32bit version, but I always get an error message after a while that says something like "can't install cause hardware isnt supported". But the 64 bit version have no problem at all.
This is on a Dell xps1530.

    Anyone had similar problem??

Try booting from the ISO after burning it and install it that way.

Odd. I've installed both the 32-bit and 64-bit version (by booting from the DVD) on an M1530, and never encountered that problem. Do you have any odd hardware added to it?

Glad you got it installed anyway.

While the benefits of x64 might seem minor, all things being equal I'd install x64 if my hardware supported it. There's no case at all to be made for 32-bit unless there's some specific compatibility issue with your hardware or some app that you might have.

I was working on some guy's HP that he got from Best Buy recently. I commented that he was running x64, which surprised me. He said...(wait for it)..."no, it's Windows." That's how mainstream x64 is now. Grandmas buying machines at Big Box stores are running it. You should too.
