Hi all,
my current screen right now has an odd problem, the left side of the screen looks a bit more yellow than the right side. My question is - does Windows have a way to counterbalance this using some sort of screen calibration setting?
thanks

There is no way as far as i know to adjust one part of the screen, but you could try the software below to calibrate your entire screen and see if it looks any better.
Download Monitor Calibration Wizard 1.0 Free - Monitor calibration wizard, unlimited profiles, persistent profile for 3D games - Softpedia

Win7 has its own display calibration utility, just type "calibrate" into the win7 search bar, although like Tinderbox said, there is no way to adjust just one part of your screen. It sounds like there is a problem with the screen itself.

The problem with W7 calibrate is that games and paint program mess with the calibration when you exit them, the calibration program i posted constantly checks to make sure your profile has not been changed, and if it has it re-loads it.

I have had many many notebook and i have not see uneven tint, I have see backlit leakage from the edges of the screen, also though the screen, but if you mean tint as a colour difference no.
